Each one of us goes through a phase called 'Stress'. But our brain and nervous system are not designed to handle long term stress. Too much stress will drain our energy and overwhelm our will power. One question always caught my attention that What happens exactly in brain when we are under some accute stress? When we are in stress, along with Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) our left pre-frontal cortex ( CEO of our brain) stops functioning properly, which cripples our productivity even our immune system starts to shut down and healthy sleep pattern diminishes. Worse stress is linked to depressive disorders and can lead to anxiety and panic disorders. It is easy to recognize that the person is under accute stress but question here is, how we can lessen the stress?

¤ Close your eyes and breathe deeply through your nose and then out through your mouth. Schedule an event in your phone 3 times a day for a "time out". You'll be amazed as you can actually feel your stress evaporate! Its like RESET button for your brain.
¤ "Mental rehearsal"- it means write down the obstacles and mentally see yourself overcoming the obstacles.
¤ Plan one small goal for the day and mentally tell yourself why you want to achieve this particular goal today.
By doing any of the above written ways you start to create the habit loop.
Einstein said, "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed" but it definitely can be transformed.
